Pro dnešek jsem si vybral pasáž z eseje Bertranda Vergelyho Nietzsche aneb vášeň pro život.

Četl jsem si to dnes v metru a zaujal mne postarší pán v lehké bundě a kraťasech. Jak rafinovaný způsob sebevraždy! napadlo mě. Zastřelit se, skočit z desátého patra nebo pod vlak dokáže každý. Ale nejdříve si pomaloučku umučit nožičky, potom ručičky, tělíčko a nakonec hlavičku, to chce opravdového chlapa, který si umí užít nejen života, ale i smrti. Já začínám od hlavy, v zimě totiž chodím bez čepice. Ne, nebojte se, jen žertuju, mám na hlavě od přírody vlastní hustou čepici.

 

Co je krásnějšího, než moci prožívat v naprosté nevinnosti okamžik, který se nám otevírá, a nechat si tak vzejít úsvit života i myšlení? Ale jak toho dosáhnout, když se svět kolem nás snaží veškerou nevinnost pošlapat? Konstatování, že svět, který takto hanobí všechnu nevinnost kolem nás, je nemocný, je příliš jednoduché. Ptát se, proč je takto nemocný, je už méně banální. To udělal Nietzsche, když se snažil stát filozofem-lékařem. Existuje totiž velký lék na život, spočívající v přitakání nevinnému životu. Je správné mluvit o léku, protože si to žádá sílu a svěžest. Potřebné zdraví je ale zatlačováno a zastíráno množstvím nenávisti, skryté za jistými myšlenkami a soudy, které tvoří to, čemu se říká duch doby. A co kdybychom se těchto myšlenek zbavili, odhalili nenávist, která je naplňuje a neustále vězní myšlení? Samozřejmě bychom byli svobodnější, protože bychom byli konečně osvobozeni od některých nemocí, které spoutávají myšlení, a mohli bychom dosáhnout ztracené nevinnosti i ztraceného smíchu.
